About Canfield Press

Our mission is to help financial services professionals and institutional investors adapt to the rapidly changing regulatory and economic environment in this post financial crisis era.  Canfield Press closely monitors and analyzes the governments' efforts to re-engineer the global financial services industry.  Daily, we advise our clients regarding the impact these changes will have on the financial sector and the resulting ripple-effect throughout the broader economy.

We produce unique, specialized financial industry reports-The GSE Report, The Disruption Report, and our Roadmap series-to provide our clients in-depth knowledge of the federal government's expanding role in the financial services industry.  Since 1997, we have published The GSE Report that monitors the role of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Federal Home Loan Banks, Ginnie Mae, and other government-sponsored enterprises, as well as the broader efforts by the Federal Reserve and the federal government’s actions that impact the financial services industry and the broader economy.  The GSE Report also continues to track congressional efforts to reform the housing finance system and to address the future role of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in mortgage finance.

Canfield Press began publishing The Disruption Report in the summer of 2014.  It is a bi-monthly publication that reviews the latest disruptive technologies and trends that are changing the financial services landscape.

Canfield Press also tracks the activities of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the new cop created by Dodd Frank to regulate and enforce federal consumer laws governing financial products and services.  Specifically, we monitor the CFPB's promulgation of a variety of regulations required by Dodd Frank, along with the Bureau's examination and enforcement actions, litigation, data collection and research projects, and educational efforts.  We also publish individual Special Supplements, such as "Understanding the Interplay Between, QM, QRM, Lower HOEPA Thresholds, and Disparate Impact," at the request of our clients.  In addition to keeping track of the CFPB’s activities, we monitor the activities of the other financial services regulators in Washington, D.C.

In our Roadmap series, we publish and periodically update guides on:

·       Financial and Housing Market Stabilization Plans;

·       Dodd-Frank Rulemaking, Studies and Report;

·       GSE Reform; and

·       CFPB Reform.
